Administrative Assistant

Position: Administrative Assistant
Reports to: Pastoral Staff
Position type: Non-Exempt, Full-Time
​
Key Responsibilities
• Manage scheduling for church events, facility usage, and staff appointments
• Provide administrative support to pastoral staff and ministry leaders as needed
• Maintain the church membership directory with accuracy and confidentiality
• Bookkeeping to include expense tracking, payroll, and reporting
• Respond to inquiries from members, visitors, and ministry partners by phone, email and in-person visits.
• Church Communications (website, sermon notes, meeting notes, etc.)
• Support general office operations to keep church life running smoothly
• Notary services
Qualifications
• High school diploma required
• 3-5 years bookkeeping experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and QuickBooks
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills with a welcoming and professional demeanor
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Alignment with the values and mission of the Baptist church community
Work Environment
This role is full-time, on-site Monday - Thursday from 8:00am to 5:00pm and involves regular interaction with staff, church members, and community guests. A positive attitude and willingness to serve others will help you thrive.
